Photographs are a wonderful way to remember your visit to Red Oak Lavender Farm. We encourage our guests to take pictures of their visit for their own personal use - be sure to tag us on Facebook! We love to see our visitors at our farm! But, if you are coming to the farm for the purpose of taking posed photos of people, then you need a photo reservation.
The photography guidelines outlined here are intended for all our guests, but a reservation is necessary for those who wish to use Red Oak Lavender Farm as the backdrop for posed photography. This would include wedding, family, engagement, graduation, prom, senior photos or the like. It is not relevant if the photographer is a professional or not.
Aerial Photography/Video: The use of drones or any aerial vehicle are strictly prohibited.
Artists: You are more than welcome to join us during regular business hours and there may be a fee during the time of year you join us, this will be listed at the farm upon your arrival & is updated on our website. Be advised that the farm is a working farm and the use of farm equipment may be used during your stay. Also understand that the 'spot' you decided to set-up at, may not be suitable for the working part of the farm and you may be asked to move. Please follow the general guidelines that our professional photographers are required to follow.
Commercial Photography/Filming: We will only accept professionals to book with us beginning March 1st for the summer dates. Thank you. Please visit our Professional Photographers Page for more details about the plants here and information about photography.
Visitors: Photography by customers is welcome during our regular hours of operation! We ask that if you get a particularly good shot on the farm, that you share it with us for use on our Facebook page! Now, there is a difference between a camera phone and a professional camera. Our guests are more than welcome to use their professional-style cameras, however if your innocent photos turn into a photo shoot, we can and will reserve the right to turn you away. We no longer accept professional photographers.
Red Oak Lavender Farm reserves the right to refuse admittance for photography and/or change its photo policy without advanced notice. Some areas of the farm may not be available the day of your visit due to unforeseen circumstances. Thank you!
