About the Farm: Red Oak Lavender Farm is a boutique flower farm growing specialty cut flowers using sustainable natural practices in Dahlonega, Georgia, as well as using our grown flowers to produce products in our gift shop. We are very proud of our 5 acre farm just 10 minutes from the historic town of Dahlonega and a little over an hour north of Atlanta. We are dedicated to growing only specialty and heirloom varieties flowers and lavender - producing high quality, organic (not certified) fragrant blooms and bath and beauty products is our priority. By focusing on intensive planting, soil, fertility, plant health and succession planting we grow impressive amount of flowers on a small amount of cultivated land. We are very passionate about flowers and have opened our farm to visitors to let them enjoy our blooms and believe by doing this we can make the world a better place!
Red Oak Lavender Farm's Principals:
Looking for a volunteer during Spring - help transplant: This position will cover transplanting seedlings to bigger pots and helping a bit around the farm. There is some flexibility with the exact start and end dates. The assistant farmer can expect to work about 12-20 hours a week during the mornings for 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Friday). The assistant farmer will work alongside Red Oak Lavender farm manager and owner - and will also expected to work independently. Each day will start with a clear list of tasks to be completed. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flower farming experience and to get their foot in the door with flowers and lavender or college student wanting to help with their agriculture experience.

Position Filled - Sales Clerk in Shop: this position begins in April through till mid December, with the exact dates are TBD. There is some flexibility with the exact start and end dates. The sales clerk can expect to work about 12-20 hours a week on the days of Friday 10:30 - 3:00, every other Saturday (9:30 - 4:00), and Sunday (12:30 - 4:00) . Days can be flexible based on coverage. The sales clerk will work alongside Red Oak Lavender sales manager and owner - and will also expected to work independently. Each day will start with a clear list of tasks to be completed, but main job will be to assist all customers with sales and description and benefits of products, as well as information of our flowers and pants. In June you will assist with you-picks of lavender and plant sales tent. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flower farming sales experience and to get their foot with all aspects of sales and marketing. Technology experience a plus.

All Red Oak Lavender team members enjoy fresh flowers on a regular bases, and occasionally given extra plants or bulbs, all for personal use and enjoyment only. Team members also receive discounts on all store products.
